Authors and Their Problems

Friday, January 9th, 2009

Have you ever been online in a forum and ended up debating some point of contention with another, only to find out that the other is an author. Then you understand why they were able to hammer on you so hard, because they had a better command of the English Language? Yet, after reading thru the diatribe in the end there was really no merit to their debate, mostly arguing over semantics. Why are authors like this? Many are a royal pain in the butt aren’t they? Well indeed, you are not alone in your discovery of this notion in fact you may be surprised about authors. I personally do not like authors and wish people would not address me as such.

Regarding Authors, well they are only humans caught up in their sound and fury, that they will not concede a point even when they learn they are wrong. I have posted articles bringing to light the problems with authors, such as prozac ridden, alcoholics, insomniacs all with axes to grind about something, yet every time I do guess what? Some author comes to defend their ilk; and really good for them, sticking together like that.

Should one not be so hard on authors who most of which are not out to prove anything, just doing their little thing in there own way, yet how many of them are over the borderline? Think of all the personal attacks you read causing chaos and controversy in the world, coming from authors. Many authors have self aggrandizing websites too and when you read some of these people’s websites (I have visited all the top 100 author’s websites of one major article submission website), often they sound like god and that is disconcerting considering the performance and underachievability of the number of articles posted or the quality, considering also they proclaim themselves Authors. Yes, my articles suck, but I freely admit that and myself well I am not trying to prove anything to anyone. If you are reading this article this far that is your fault or choice not mine. After all who cares if the pen is mightier than the sword if you are not aiming right or shooting the wrong person. Think on that.

The Dream Dancer’s Mask

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

THE DREAM DANCER’S MASK:
To what extent the eleven or thirteen dimensions proposed by Quantum Physics contain elements of the future that would allow divination by those who do the ecstatic or drug aided dances like the Whirling Dervish is anyone’s guess. I think there are many ‘potential’ futures and few who can interpret the constructs and confusion therein.

ARTIFACT DESCRIPTION:
a) Weight – two and one half pounds
b) Composition – zinc (Chemalloy?) – 80% gold
We need to have a thorough analysis of the composition that hopefully will provide clues as to when it was made.
c) Symbology – There are marks behind or near the eye hole(s) that the face fits snuggly into. There are horns at the top and a handle at the bottom. The amorphous shapes on the face of the mask are intentionally made to be seen as different animistic demons or forms which is in line with Bes and the earlier origins of Bes the Egyptian representative deity. Bes and Loki are both tricksters and the horns might speak to Cernunnos or other horned gods that are of the same continuum due to the travels of the Kelts or Olmecs and their Brotherhood. Shamans seek to project visions to the ritual participants in their dances or performances. Often there were mind-altering drugs or ecstatic dances involved. The mutable nature of the face of this mask suggests any viewer might witness their own personal spirit guide or the demon and elemental of their belief system pantheon.
d) Collateral artifacts – The large lipped Negroid features on some lithics that resemble the Guatemalan and La Venta artifacts are instructive and might indicate the mask comes from the same people who were in that part of the world. The Cherokee calendar and Mayan system are similarly instructive. The lions and giraffes or other non-indigenous American fauna would indicate these travelers were in North Africa. This could be the Figuig who came in 500 AD or any number of other migrations long before the likes of Juba and his Ptolemy family arrived once Rome was building an Empire they cared not to participate in. We feel it is likely that our artifacts are far earlier than Empire and we are eager to see the professional work done to establish dates that should be in line with the early dating of Poverty Point in 4000 BCE if not earlier. However we must rule out the Melungeons or pre-Columbians like those who might have left the Bat Creek artifacts. The Tennessee skeletons of pygmies might be connected if we find harmonics is the technology used in making the symbols that are almost microscopic.

The Iowa artifacts and caves of a fellow researcher have been dated to over 11,000 years ago. My book details a move south after smelting was being done in most Old World areas around 4000 BC. The rebounding of the land that still goes on as post-glacial re-adjustment caused the waters of the Great Lakes to flow in many new directions in the fourth millennium BC. One artifact in Iowa is a kaleidoscopic book of minute symbols that change as light hits it from different angles. We believe the same is true with many of our artifacts but more analysis is needed. There is a passage in Exodus that might relate. It is associated with what is called the Ten Commandments. It could relate to poured stone as Davidovits and linguists have shown Pliny describe. Even that would require man making the molds and molds are hard to make in curves such as one would expect a graven image of god to include. Here is the passage: Ex. 20:25 ‘And if thou wilt make Me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone; for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.’

We covered how the ancients used spalling to get ores from rock in this book. Spalling would likely have lead to smelting due to different metals being present in the ores these people were after. We also know that certain very hard woods produce high heats and when fires are used in caves or cenotes open to prevailing winds it produces a bellows effect. Here is a little about one metal that when present in an ore reduces the melting point of gold to approximately half of its normal melting point of 1064 degrees Celsius. “There is a 22 ct yellow gold solder with a very low melting point. {We know that Greek gold used cadmium to affect the lower melting point.} This has the composition 92.5 % gold – 6.0% germanium -1.5% silicon and is based on the ternary eutectic system. The soldering temperature is 425-450C and although the joints are initially whitish in colour they can be heat treated for 2 hours at 285C to give a good colour match to yellow gold.” (13)
REQUIRED ANALYSIS:
1. How were the artifacts made? How were the symbols of minute and microscopic nature put on and into the artifacts? One smoothed rock has three glyphs or symbols including one that might be a Mayan or Olmec numerical operator that is a half moon and three dots.
POSSIBILITIES:
a) Harmonic drills
b) Diamond drills (seems unlikely due to the small size)
c) Shamanic attunement causing lattices of matter to reflect specific designs akin to what one might see in Crop Circle formation.
2. Is there a development of technology over time which is demonstrated?
a) Is this technology mirrored in Iowa and which one is earliest?
b) What other regions of the world might have similar artifacts or designs including the Cretan bull we see. Will there be knowledge on the Luwian script found at 2200 feet below the Gulf of Mexico to tie these things together with the Carolina Bays event in 8350 BCE?
3. What was the purpose of the artisans or shamans? Is the Orisha or Yoruba possession by demons a real thing or is it a sorcerer and his psychic possession that is involved? How many witnesses to a ritual are affected and can one shaman possess many people simultaneously?
a) My personal experiences with exorcisms and possessions as well as the work of Robert Bruce and others who might be asked to attune to the artifacts in ritual.
b) Could the minute symbols include information that can be tapped through harmonics?
ACTION PLAN:
1. Contact and begin the process of informing experts in anthropology, archaeology, chemistry (bonding and lattices or Materials Scientists like Robins and Tiller) psychology and physics about the possibilities these artifacts may portend.
2. Select one institution or expert to make an appraisal of the work done in my book that addresses the ‘who’ and ‘when’ in general terms. Maybe this person or institution will eventually seek to be the dig team managers and owners of the site. Could mining companies and investment firms be interested if the government funded institutions find it ‘too political’?
3. Try to get a ball park on the date of the electrum for purposes of focusing our efforts.
4. Get the archaeological ball park on the lithics if possible. If we are dealing with huge time frames due to the electrum being smelted (uncertain at present) then we will have a lot more research to do on the ‘who’ or what culture(s) were involved.
5. Consider auction houses and the media at junctures which might move the process along.

INITIAL RESPONSES AND BACKLASH:
When I called Kathryn Denning of York University I was surprised to find such an open minded person in academia at an institution. Ryerson University has no real anthropology or archaeological interests and the Professor of Chemistry named Derek Heyd was most willing to test the artifact to determine if it was alloyed and what constituent ingredients were in it. This would have been all I needed to get the ball rolling.

Once I called The Canadian Museum of Civilization all sources suddenly seemed numb and were unwilling to talk to me. It is a sad state of affairs indeed and I wonder if there is anything I can do going forward.

The artifact my partner sent me was professionally tested on an electron microscope and this is my brief initial report to him. Zinc is found in ores with copper and silver and yet requires concentrates to make into something such as we have. It would mean a very advanced smelting knowledge and this makes the dating of the area and artifacts of even greater importance. I really can only guess as to the full meaning of this metal showing up in ancient times. It melts at low temperatures and would have been one of the first things to melt in the spalling process and aluminum melts or forms at a lower temperature when zinc is alloyed with it. The melting point of zinc is 419.58 degrees Celsius (787.15 F) whereas copper melts at 1083 Celsius and aluminum at 1220 Fahrenheit.

‘I have an analysis of the artifact now – is this the one you tested and thought was electrum? It is weirder by far than electrum. The dating now becomes critical – thus the bone may need to be scanned. I cannot afford to do that anyway.

It is mostly zinc. There is aluminum in it. These are recent things historically although zinc was used medicinally in history as commonly stated back 2500 years in ornaments. Zinc is weird but aluminum even more – and not likely to have been found as a result of intention in this – but just an alloy that came up by mistake or chance.’ It is also possible that a 19th Century fakir or fraud was having some fun with aluminum slag from your nearby mills.’

Steak and Salad Together for a Tasty Meal

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

What is your favorite type of steak? I like the rib eye because it has so much flavor, the flavor comes from the high fat content and it is not the best thing for your health. It is high is not only saturated fat, but in calories. This rib eye steak is only eaten on occasion because of the above factors, it is what I eat when I go out for a celebration of something. The steak that is good for you to eat when you are losing weight and taking the Acceletrim diet product is the sirloin steak. This steak is lean and has a lot of protein in it. You have to be really careful to not eat too much steak, it is recommended that you only eat red meat every once in a while, if at all, and in small portions, this means about four to six ounces per serving. That really is not that much and when you portion it out like this make sure that you enjoy each and every bite. What is the healthiest thing to eat with your steak, a salad is really good to accompany your steak. A salad is full of vegetables that is high in fiber and is so good to go along with the steak. You can eat salad whenever you want and as often as you want, there is not the limitation placed on this like there is with steak.

How to Go about a Car Repair? Part One

Monday, January 5th, 2009

Whether your car has been in nasty mishap or not, it’s essential that you take it to an auto repair centre on a regular basis. This would increase the life of the car and also ensure that an issue is addressed before it snowballs into something bigger. If you think it’s time to take your car for the annual auto repair, it’s essential that you look at what fellow customers have to say about the many different car repair shops you’re considering; if the car mechanics are reliable and the car repair centre uses genuine spare parts. You also need to see if the auto repair cost isn’t too high. This is the primary reason why you need to get car repair quote from different car repair shops and then see which of the many in the neighborhood would suit your requirements.

Sometimes, the cost could be covered by your insurance provider, especially if your car has been in an accident. You have to first make a list of all the repairs you need to and want to get done. Get this to-do repair list verified by an auto mechanic. Alternatively jot down all the troubling symptoms your car is exhibiting and this could include a squeaking noise when you apply brakes or too much gas consumption or the vehicle swerving slightly off the road. Take this to a certified auto repair shop; they would give you an approximate auto repair estimate. You could even do this onlinesubmit the car’s “problem behavior” to one of the many online auto repair services; you’ll be mailed the auto repair cost with a detailed break-up.

Carbohydrates – Good Or Bad?

Monday, January 5th, 2009

Carbohydrates have gotten a lot of bad press in the past few years with the advent of low carb diets, but the truth is that not all carbohydrates are “bad” and, in fact, your body needs carbs to survive.

Many people mistakenly believe that eating bacon, eggs and steak will set them on the road to a thinner body with increased energy and good health, but this is not the case. While cutting out the simple carbohydrates found in processed foods is a healthier way of eating, neglecting the complex carbs found in fruits and vegetables can be hazardous to your health.

Fruits and vegetables are packed with enzymes, vitamins, minerals and fiber. All key ingredients to your health. They also contain antioxidants which can help your body fight disease and may even help ward off certain kinds of cancer.

Picking The Best Carbs

The old saying “you are what you eat” has a lot of truth to it. You get the energy that your body uses as well as your nutritional needs such as vitamins, minerals and fiber from the foods you eat. Doesn’t it make sense, then to eat foods that will provide your body with the best fuel possible?

You want to avoid foods that are processed. I’m sorry to say that most foods that can be found in packaged in your supermarket like cookies, cereals and even white bread are filled with “bad carbs”. These foods are often processed to taste better and all the nutrients are stripped out in the process. Then chemicals are added in to prolong shelf life and add to color and taste. Your body has no use for these empty calories so when you eat these foods it is a big drain on the body to digest them and try to salvage any nutritional value from them.

The fruits and vegetables, on the other hand are filled with nutrients. When you eat these, your body gets lots of high energy fuel that it can use to keep up your energy levels and help your body fight off disease. In addition, the enzymes found in the fruits and veggies aid your body in the digestion process, thus freeing it up for more important activities.

So, in reality, carbohydrates are both good and bad. It is up to you to make sure you fuel your body with more of the good carbs for optimum health. A good rule of thumb when shopping is to stick to the outside aisles of the grocery store and avoid the middle. Buy as many fresh fruits and veggies as you can (organic if possible) and frequent your local farmers market to purchase locally grown produce if you are lucky enough to have one near you.

White Sun (Buddha Sakyamuni – The Last Message)

Monday, January 5th, 2009

Sakyamuni Buddha was born more than 2,500 years ago in the ancient city of Kapiro. His father was King Gingwan. At the age of twenty, after he fathered a son, at midnight, he left home to search for the truth. At the age of thirty five, he received initiation of Tao from Buddha Dipankara in spirit and was enlightened. He then started the teaching of Truth for more than forty years.

Buddha Sakyamuni revealed the secrets of the timing for the general propagation of Tao and its profound impact on people who would be inspired with belief when his disciple Subhuti asked, “World honored one, will there always be men who will truly believe after coming to hear these teachings?”

Buddha answered, “Subhuti, do not utter such words! At the end of the last five hundred year period following the passing of the Tathagata, there will be self controlled men, rooted in merit, coming to hear these teachings, who will be inspired with belief. But you should realize that such men have not strengthened their root of merit through one, two, three, four, or five Buddhahoods, but through countless Buddhahoods; and their merit is of every kind. Such men, coming to hear these teachings, will have immediate uprising of pure faith. Subhuti, the Tathagata clearly understands and sees these people who will attain infinite prosperity and virtue.”

In the tenth chapter of the Great Collection of Lunar Treasure Sutra, Buddha is reported as saying after his death that there would be five successive periods, each of 500 years. These periods are as follows:

1] Period of Enlightenment or Salvation

2] Period of Meditation

3] Period of Learning

4] Period of Temple Building and

5] Period of Dissension and Decay of Faith.

If we look carefully, there is a general degradation of the faith through the time after Buddha Sakyamuni returned to Void or Heaven of Truth.

We are now in the last period of Dissension and Decay of Faith after 2,500 years. Buddha has revealed the coming of the true transmission of Tao during this period. The main reason that people will be inspired with belief when they receive transmission of Tao is because they have been cultivating and preparing spiritually through countless lives of incarnation. These people will be able to have immediate uprising of pure faith and by cultivating and propagating Tao, they will attain prosperity and virtue.

Buddha Sakyamuni left behind a very important Buddhist symbol. This symbol hides the true meaning of the path of Tao to Buddhahood. Likewise Jesus Christ also left behind a crucifix symbol in the form of a cross. Both symbols are Heavenly secrets leading to the Truth of life.

The last message left by Buddha to his disciples between two bodhi trees outside the city of Guniro at the foot of Snow Mountain 2,500 years ago carries great meaning in the teaching of Tao. This is a teaching by my Heavenly Teacher JiGong;

“Undergoing the difference of time and space, words that one utters at the current level of awareness may have changed in half a year. But still, the voice of the heart right at this moment must be expressed outward. Then only can it be converted into energy and be digested (dissolved and transformed).

During this final stage of Universal Transformation, we all belong to a group that strives upward for the Way to Full Enlightenment and works downwardly to carry numerous beings across the bitter sea of life.”

Time and space, it is said that all the words uttered by each person are within the Principle of “Yin” and “Yang.” Yin represents the earth, female, north, coldness, stillness and the gloomy and negative, etc. Yang represents the heaven, male, south, warmth, activeness and the bright and positive, etc. The last message by Buddha Sakyamuni explains a very deep meaning that one can attain Full Enlightenment at this final stage of Universal Transformation.

Author: T.A Chew

T.A Chew was advised that by initiation of Tao, he would be able to achieve Full Enlightenment similar to Buddha Sakyamuni, 2,500 years ago. This is the period of the general propagation of Tao and anyone can have the chance to be enlightened if he has the faith regardless of race and religion. Website: http://www.white-sun.com

After The Big Project: Recovering From Success

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

My older daughter got married 10 days ago. The wedding was a joyous and extraordinary experience, way beyond our imaginings. I am deeply happy about all of this, and feel strongly validated by the whole experience.

On a project level, the wedding was a very satisfying culmination of a huge team effort. The logistics worked perfectly – the months of intensive work and the last several weeks of even more intensive (possibly crazy) work paid off.

So, what happens after an experience like this? After you get the job, have the baby, launch the global initiative, publish the book, or finish the house renovations? As your life gradually returns to “normal,” you assimilate the new experience into your sense of yourself. You let it in. You acclimate to the new altitude, look around, see what’s different, what’s the same. But mostly, you’re exhausted and depleted. You need a period of recovery.

Achievers forget this so easily. You are groomed to be industrious and effective, but not to allow for recovery or transition between projects.

Let me share something with you from deep inside the experience of recovery. It’s challenging. I know I’m exhausted at a deep level, and I’m taking care of myself in ways (I have learned) that work for me. Now that I’ve caught up on sleep, I’m keeping my schedule light – refraining from filling my calendar. And I’m explicitly re-charging my batteries in a variety of ways. But I’m chafing. I’m judging my relative inactivity. I’m annoyed at myself for not having the energy or enthusiasm for a new project. Now, mind you, as a coach I KNOW this territory of transition! I know there’s typically an energy drop after a big project, a letdown, that there is a rhythm to these things and it makes sense to work WITH the rhythms. I regularly coach other people through transitions, and it’s still hard. Bottom line, it’s just a lot more fun to be onto the next big project. And I’m not there yet.

How hard is it for you to recover from the culmination of a huge project or life-event? And what’s it like for the other people in your life – your staff, your family, your boss? Most of us expect ourselves to bounce forward from challenge to challenge without letup. (And certainly there are times in our lives when no letup is possible). But the most efficient way to climb a mountain is NOT to just charge straight up it, non-stop. Less experienced climbers are more likely to attempt the straight-up route, and they are prone to early burnout, injury or devastating fatigue.

The most efficient way to climb a mountain is to take it in stages. Between stages, experienced climbers stop, eat, sleep, rest, and adjust to the new altitude. Many of us want to take our lives as a non-stop mountain climb, when in fact we are better served to stop from time to time and recover from the last stage of the climb.

Sometimes all that’s required is to keep your schedule light after a big deadline. To plan a weekend at a bed and breakfast after the proposal is due, after the product launch, after you deliver the copy to the printer, after your son’s last college application is due. Or to seriously under-promise what you will deliver in the few weeks after a major push. Try it. You may find that, like me, you chafe at the slower pace. But your high energy will return more quickly if you allow yourself the full process of recovery.

If you find yourself perpetually drained and without energy for projects you truly care about, you may need to make some important course corrections in your career or work-life balance. If you’re considering hiring a coach, contact me for an initial consultation at no charge.

Happy Birthday! Or Taking Stock of All I Have

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

“I’ve learned that we cannot forget or throw away our past, But we must not allow our past to control us either. We must learn and grow from our past failures, Disappointments, pains and experiences. Reset our goals and priorities… and move forward.”

Ty Howard

I don’t know about you, but my own birthday leads me to look back, not only over the previous year, but even further back to assess what differences there are, if any, between now and then. This can be a fairly subduing experience, but on this First Birthday of Do Something! (my newsletter, and also of my mother – Happy Birthday, Mum!) with the sun shining brightly outside, I am looking back with different eyes. Often we get distracted by the things that didn’t go to plan, by the dramas that may have occurred, or even by those periods of deadly dull-dom! We zone in on the negative and can sometimes overlook those things that have led us to where we are now which were more positive, even if they were actions taken as a result of something unexpected, and possibly unwelcome, happening. I have said this before, and it is a well-known phrase – “Stuff happens!” What is important is how we chose to deal with that stuff and what we learn from the experience!

How do you look back? Are you taking stock of all you have and all you’ve achieved, or are you letting yourself be distracted by the events and thoughts that were unhelpful or not what you wanted? Don’t dwell in the past. Don’t get anchored in what might have been, but use all that you have gone through as a way of taking you forward. You are here and now and you are what you are because of all that you’ve experienced. Take stock and move on, using the lessons you’ve learned to face your future with the confidence that you can and will handle anything.

Many of us have things that we need to deal with dragging us down. Stop putting it off and filling yourself with wasted guilt or other emotions and get it done! Leave it where it should be – completed and behind you. What can you learn from how you handled the experiences you have been through? What can you glean from those times and move yourself forward? Even if it is to say, “I won’t do that again!” Celebrate your achievements! What can you do for yourself this week to acknowledge how well have you done? Get it in your diary and do it!

We can all make improvements to our activity levels. Looking back over the past year, you can assess what activities you have been involved in. Use this to plan your future activities. Were there activities that you tried but didn’t enjoy? Which did you enjoy the most? How can you add more of these in? What made the difference? This can help you to choose those that suit you the most.

Did you spend time doing things that you didn’t want to do? What brought this about? How much control did you have over the situation? Are you still doing things you don’t want to do? What can you do to change this? Whose help do you need to make this happen? Do you need to make some tough decisions?

What new things did you experience? What would you like to do? Take that step and get started! Ever since I heard about Salsa dancing, (nearly 20 years ago!) I have wanted to try it. Circumstances were against me – until last month. I am now going to classes which have started in the village – and I LOVE it! Look back and remember what you yearned to do. Then make it happen.

Creative expression, whether it be by writing, art, music or any other means is so important for each and every one of us. What did you do? What would you like to do? And how would you like to do it? Go on! Express yourself!

How did you help others? How can you do more? This doesn’t have to involve cash. Time and effort is usually all that is required. When we take stock of all we have and compare it to others, surely we have at least a little something to give.
