Holiday Party Ideas: Games and Activities
Don’t throw a boring holiday party this year. Make it fun for all of your party guests by having Christmas party games to entertain and get everyone talking. Throwing a Christmas party this year? You don’t need expensive supplies or anything special. Here’s a great game idea that requires only a Christmas album – any one you like and that’s festive.
Make two teams of players with your guests. Choose Christmas songs and play a few lines of lyrics. Press pause. Ask the team player what the next lyric is, just like on “Don’t Forget the Lyrics.” Make sure you have printed out the lyrics before the party guests arrive so that there is no argument over words which might sound alike in the song lyrics (this happens on the show too!). Have prizes for the winners and make sure that not all of the songs are too easy. Have some hard ones and some ones that everyone knows too!
This is a great, festive game for the whole night or just some of the duration of the party.
Keep score or make it a funny drinking game with the grownups. Each wrong guess of lyrics means that the wrong player must sip their drink.
